The Mrs. New Jersey United States
Woman of Achievement Award

The Mrs. New Jersey United States Woman of Achievement Award is a specially designed award honoring those outstanding women that call New Jersey their home.  The Organization believes that married women should be recognized for their ability to integrate confidence... intelligence... success... and beauty, all at the same time!  We recognize our contestants through our pageant, but we also feel it is important to recognize those women outside of the pageant who have made significant contributions.

We were proud to present the 2008 Woman of Achievement Award to Mrs. Stacy Kreizman.

Mrs. Stacy Kreizman
Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey
2008 Achievement Award
Stacy Kreizman currently serves as Director of External Events for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of New Jersey, helping to manage events which people throughout the Garden State host to benefit the Foundation. In this role, she has partnered with many wonderful people who are dedicated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation's mission of granting wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience through hope, strength and joy.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in Boca Raton, Florida alongside her twin sister, she obtained her Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida. Upon graduation, she moved to Boston, Massachusetts to pursue a Master's Degree in the field of Child Life and Family Centered Care, where she took advantage of the unique opportunity to gain experience as an intern at children's hospitals throughout London, England. This degree allowed her to begin what has become a life-long career of working with children and families facing life-threatening and life-changing illnesses in many different settings.

Prior to joining the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey, she worked for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where she served as a Special Events Coordinator and Certified Child Life Specialist for eight years.

While at The Children’s Hospital, she was introduced to a passion of hers -- Camp No Worries, in Tabernacle, New Jersey -- a one-week summer camp for children with cancer and their siblings.  This summer will mark her eighth year being involved with the camp and her fifth year holding the position of Camp Director.  Camp No Worries is truly a place that allows children facing a diagnosis of cancer to just be kids-- a place of happiness, friendship and acceptance where everyone knows first-hand what it’s like to live with cancer, and she is honored to continue to be an integral part of such a worthwhile mission.

She continues to deliver awe-inspiring value to our state’s children through her work managing and coordinating fundraising events for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey.  Last year alone the Foundation granted 470 wishes throughout the state, and they are actively working to exceed that number this year as they begin their 25th Anniversary of granting wishes in New Jersey.  Although she has fully dedicated herself to her career, she is also very focused on the start of a new phase in her personal life, as a newlywed who plans to use all that she has learned from the inspirational children and families she has had the pleasure of working with over the years to build her own family in the near future.

In December 2007, Stacy helped to coordinate the Mrs. New Jersey United States Organization’s “Cabaret for a Cause,” which benefited the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey.  In so doing, Stacy worked with the Organization’s directors, as well as the reigning Mrs. New Jersey, Heather Cunningham, who is an active volunteer and wish grantor for the Foundation, to raise money through the gift of music.  The success of the event bore witness to Stacy’s agility, tenacity and capacity to breathe the very life into every program she coordinates.  The Organization continued its work with Stacy through participation of its reigning state and local titleholders in events such as the LimoDigest fundraiser and the Dishes for Wishes chef competition.  Stacy’s commitment to community service throughout her life, and most especially in Heather’s shared love of children’s charities, made her an obvious choice to be selected as this year’s award recipient.  The Mrs. New Jersey United States Organization is proud to present Stacy Kreizman with the 2008 Woman of Achievement Award.
