  THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION

Saturday, February 7th ushered in our second annual Cabaret for a Cause fundraising concert and silent auction, benefiting the American Heart Association!  Our Mrs. NJ 2008, Evelyn McCleod, who was the reigning titleholder at that time, is an active member and supporter of the American Heart Association, and incorporated that support into her platform, "Healthy, Happy and Wise."  In honor of that, we hosted our second annual fundraiser, contributing a portion of the proceeds to the American Heart Association to help continue their great mission, while ensuring that future Mrs. New Jersey state and local titleholders will be able to champion their causes as well.

This fantastic evening featured:

  • Mrs. New Jersey United States 2008, Evelyn McCleod!
  • Our Champion for a Cause - Mr. Anthony Hooper and our Triumph Award winner - Ms. Karen Stives!
  • Fabulous performers that have appeared in venues ranging from New York City to Atlantic City Casinos, and from the Opera to the Apollo!
  • A theme of "A Heart for Our Community" which pays homage to the many survivors and volunteers we will support through the American Heart Association!
  • A silent auction and raffles featuring fabulous prizes at incredible, tax-deductible auction prices!
We were able to raise nearly $2000 that evening through the graciousness of our donors, participants and attendees!  Congratulations to everyone who helped make this night a success, and our continued thanks for your generosity.
