Claire
is the founder and director of Maternal Wings charity, a 501(c)3
non-profit organization that meets the needs of expectant mothers by
providing baby care items to women in need. After her children Alexis and Luc were born, she decided that rather than disposing of her unneeded baby items, or making a few dollars by selling them at a garage sale, she would set out to find mothers in need and donate her items. She discovered that the need for these items was huge, so Claire soon began collecting items from other moms she knew, thus “Maternal Wings” was born. The program has expanded to an organization volunteers and donors who serve hundreds of local moms and clients at several clinics, as well as individual referrals from the community, pediatricians and the Visiting Nurse Association. Claire has a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities and has completed all of her coursework for her Master's Degree in Education with a certification in Special Education. She and her husband of 8 years, Ken, are health enthusiasts, and he is the owner of his own physical therapy practice. She enjoys running half-marathons, healthy & organic cooking, and of course, chocolate! She was also a semi-finalist for the second season of the hit TV show Survivor. She is excited to broaden the reach of her charity work to women throughout the state of New Jersey and across the United States.
