Founder's Biography A former captain of the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders and certified aerobics instructor, Heather Cunningham has translated both her team spirit and her spirit for life into a spirit of giving to children in need. Heather and her husband of 10 years, Tom, are advocates for children, serving as Wish Grantors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, as well as contributors to the Starlight, Starbright Foundation, the Junior Achievement Program, and the Children's Miracle Network. As Mrs. New Jersey United States 2007, Heather travels throughout the state and the nation promoting her platform, "Project GIVE", which focuses on enhancing the lives of children suffering with life-threatening medical conditions. In the battle against her own life-threatening medical condition, Lupus, Heather has taken a proactive role as a board member of the South Jersey Lupus Foundation, chairing two of their largest events and raising $200,000 in annual net proceeds for Lupus research. She is also a community Lupus Awareness spokeswoman through appearances on CN8 TV's Comcast Newsmakers, which airs during CNN Headline News. |
